All rental vehicles are subject to sale taxes, consolidated facility charges and privilege fees. Miami sales tax is 7.0%. There is a 5.28% Privilege Fee at Miami (airport) and a consolidated facility charge of $5.10. In addition to taxes and fees, a surcharge of $2.88 per day in the state of Florida

If rental vehicles are returned late, there will be additional charges for each hour past due. Late charges vary per vehicle.

Royal Rent-A-Car is one of the few companies that allow the rental of certain vehicle classes to licensed drivers under the age of 25. However, we do charge an additional amount of $19.95 per day.

Online reservations can be cancelled at any time. Please note that “Pay Now” reservations may incur a cancellation fee. If you would like to make changes to an existing reservation, please call us or email us at reservations@royalrentacar.com. Please include your reservation number with any correspondence.

If you are involved in an accident, please contact the local authorities. Make sure to contact Royal Rent-A-Car by calling our main office at: 1-800-314-8616 to report the accident.

We do not rent Convertibles, SUV’s, Luxury nor Specialty vehicles to anyone under 25 years old.

To rent vehicles, a valid driver’s license is required. The renter must be at least 21 years old and have a major credit card. If the renter is between 21 years of age through 24 years of age, there is an under-age fee.

Our vehicles may not leave the state of Florida. For local Florida residents, there is a mileage limit for vans, suvs and pick-up trucks.

A rental contract is a legally binding agreement between the primary driver and Royal Rent-A-Car. The primary driver must have a valid driver’s license, and provide payment with a major credit card issued to his or her name. Therefore, you are not able to pay for another person’s rental.

No, the seats must remain in the van.

No. Towing is a violation of the rental agreement and is not permitted under any circumstances.

All rentals require a valid major credit card not attached to a bank account at the time of rental. You may however, make a final payment upon returning the vehicle with a debit card, check card or cash. Checks are not accepted.

Yes. Each driver must be present at time of contract, provide a valid driver’s license, and meet the age requirements. There is an additional fee of $4.95 per day for each additional driver.

We require that our rental vehicles be returned during normal business hours.

All rented vehicles must be returned to Royal with a full tank of gasoline, or the customer will be charged a refueling fee.

Royal guarantees you will receive one of the cars from the car class you requested, or you’ll be given an upgrade to a larger vehicle at no additional charge. Sorry, we can’t guarantee a specific make, model, color or vehicle feature.

Royal offers customers the option to purchase coverages such as Collision Damage Waiver, Personal Accident Insurance and Supplemental Liability Protection. These are optional coverages offered to renters to provide a level of protection should they be involved in an accident while driving a Royal rental vehicle. Check with your insurance provider to determine if the insurance coverage on your personal automobile extends to a rental car.

Royal facilities are located at the airport Car Rental Centers in both the Miami and Fort Lauderdale Airports. Transportation is provided by both airports. Miami customers should follow directions to the MIA Mover and embark on a three minute ride to the rental car center. Fort Lauderdale customers arriving to terminals 2, 3 and 4 should follow directions to the rental car shuttle. Terminal 1 customers can walk across the bridge directly into the rental car center.

Royal offers infant seats, child seats and booster seats for a fee of $8.95 per day. Child seats are required by Florida state law for all children under four years of age. In addition, GPS devices are also available for $10.95 per day.

Royal offers a prepaid toll service provided by Rent-A-Toll. Florida tolls are not manned and cannot be paid in cash.
